Under the slogan "Productive Professional Training", and in light of the pandemic that is afflicting the region, Al Moasat Association in Saida is conducting a series of sewing training courses during which multi-use masks and protective isolation clothing are produced according to AFNOR international standards.
Hoda Nakouzi, the course coordinator, said: "120 trainees benefited from the courses and followed the training in stages, at a rate of 10 trainees per session, in order to ensure social and spatial distancing and securing safety conditions.
This program comes within the project of empowerment, education and employment of youth in Lebanon in partnership with "ANERA" and "UNICEF" organization, where 50,000 masks wrap papers, 500 insulation uniforms, and 180,000 cotton masks have been produced to date, and training is currently underway to produce 60,000 cotton masks for children.
The products were delivered to medical centers in Saida and the neighborhood, and a number of municipalities, including the municipality of Saida and the municipality of Basta, in addition to a number of educational centers.
